Can't believe we are almost at the official beginning of summer! (Yikes, what happened to spring?!?)
I have some very fantastic news about Carmen and lots of summer concerts to let you know about.

Carmen's CDs Now Available in the U.S.; Carmen's Website Completely Redesigned
After many years of fielding requests about Carmen and her music from all her fans, I am pleased to report the great news that her CDs are finally available here in the USA. Up until now they've been available only in Europe and Asia. Following the trend that seems to be happening in music, we're now focusing all of our energies on internet marketing. All four of Carmen's CDs are now available on CD Baby. If you enjoy Carmen's vocals on my CD's, I encourage you to go to CD baby and order one of hers.

In keeping with the internet emphasis, Carmen also has created a page for herself on MySpace and has just completely redesigned her website. I think it looks fantastic. There are a number of new features, including a page for people to sign up for mailings. If you have a moment, please check it out at www.carmencuesta.com.

The Road Ahead: Upcoming Shows in Europe

European Tour with REUNION
Most immediately on the horizon, I'm headed to Europe for a series of concerts as part of the band REUNION, which includes: Jim Beard (piano, keyboards), Till Brönner (trumpet, vocals), Dennis Chambers (drums), Tim Lefebvre (bass), and Eric Marienthal (sax). At four of the concerts, we will be joined by my long-time friend and very special guest, Michael Franks. Metro
After we return from Europe, I will be playing some dates as part of the group Metro, which also will include Wolfgang Haffner (drums), Tim Lefebvre (bass), and Mitchell Forman (keys). Details to follow.

Jazz Trio
Later in the summer, I will be going back to Europe as part of a jazz trio that includes with Wolfgang Haffner (drums), and Dieter Ilg (bass). We will be playing at a wonderful place in Berlin called the A-Train.

Notes from the Studio
Finally, in news from the studio, I am finishing up mixing the new Metro CD and also recently had the pleasure of playing on new CDs by pianist Brian Simpson, drummer Terri Lyne Carrington and New York Voices. I don't yet know any of the names or release dates for these artists' CDs but will try to let you know about those in a future mailing.
