Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all faring well as Winter winds down and Spring peeks around the corner (only 27 days away, but who's counting.....
I am VERY proud to announce that a few weeks ago I received a call from some of my favorite musicians in the world: Bob James, Harvey Mason, and Nathan East who invited me to join the band Fourplay. As they were telling me on the conference call that I could take my time to think it over, I interrupted them to say "YES"!
Of course I want to mention that I will be taking over the guitar chair from one of my all-time favorite players, the great Larry Carlton, who has decided to focus more on his own projects for now. And as if those shoes alone weren't big enough to fill, he was of course preceded in the band by another of my favorite guitarists - Lee Ritenour.... whew! Wish me luck.
My first show with the band is scheduled for April 18th at The Seabreeze Jazz Festival in Destin Florida. After that we will head in to the studio to start work on the new CD!!!!

I am of course honored and thrilled to be part of one of my favorite groups and look forward to creating some great music with some of the planet's finest musicians. YEAH BABY!!!!!!!!

I just came off a weekend of gigs with The Between 2 Worlds Trio with Josh Dion on drums and Brian Killeen on Bass AND special guest vocalist Carmen Cuesta (sound familiar?;-) )
We had a great time playing for our dear friends and fans in Benicassim (HOLA!) and Alicante España. It was a blast!
The Trio will be at The Blue Note in NYC for one night only on Monday March 23rd too, so if you're in the area please come by and make the hang!
Later in March I am very happy to be participating in the 20th Anniversary of The Berks Jazz Festival. Here are the events that I will be part of:
March 20th: Brian Bromberg's "Is What It Is" Show
March 25th: The All-Star Berks Jam Session which I co-lead with the one and only Rick Braun
March 26th: as a guest with The Joe McBride Trio
March 28th: with GUITARZZZ - with none other than Chieli Minucci and Paul Jackson, Jr.!
I hope to see as many of you as possible at these and other shows in the future!
I want to remind you all that Lizzy's CD is out and doing great. You guys can get it at iTunes and CDBaby.com and all other online music outlets. It was the #1 CD at CD Baby for 2 weeks!
Carmen's CD will be released in March!
Carmen Cuesta's "Mi Bossa Nova" will be out in late March. Check your stores and online e-tailers for ordering....
